Lucas

He had finished running errands when he came upon the scene. He watched as the young woman ran for cover and the others began their fight. This is it. This is my chance to show what I can do. He took out his book and got as close to the fight as he could trying not to be noticed. From what he could see they seemed to have everything under control but he still wanted to help. The next opening I see, i'm gonna take it.

Travis

With both attacks incoming he could only block one. Gritting his teeth he let the axe crash into his side biting through his armor and into his skin. But the arrow missed and Snow was unharmed. gripping the shaft of the axe with his free hand he tried to tug it free while he gave a few swipes with his sword. Hoping to disengage and go after the archers. He was used to being bossed around so it came as a bonus if the robed man knew what he was doing

Tycho

Drasil had been flying for a few hours now, and still they saw no sign of the usual trouble Tycho had been expecting. Either the bandits found a target he didn't know about or something else was happening. Still, would be nice to find SOMETHING, can't really remember the last time we had actual trouble. He could see the time between the beat of Drasil's wings starting to increase, which meant it was time to find a place to rest.

He saw a town not too far away, one that he vaguely remembered from one of their flights, that should be able to accommodate his partner. "Well, looks like it's going to be one of those days Drasil, not a sign of them" the wyvern gave a short snarl in response. "Well unless you've got a better idea we keep going out to find them" he responded, giving the reins a quick tug to help direct the wyvern towards the town.

As if to answer his desires, he could hear the tell tale signs of battle going on as he neared the market. Apparently some bandits were in a skirmish with some others, no sign of who they fought for or if did at all, they could simply be a group that wanted them gone for one reason or another. "Well now, looks like we may have found an answer to our boredom, think you've got enough in you for a fight?" Drasil roared eagerly in response as he dove down towards one of the archer. "That's what I like to hear!" he held his axe at the ready, and swung at the archer as Drasil neared him.

Vic

You would figure they would ignore the guy in the fruit stand....And go after the dude with the flashy cape or the guy giving out orders. mused Vic as the three men attacked him. One of the barbarians already had one of his arrows sticking out of him, wounding him well. It was the other two that concerned Vic. Any other day Vic would be happy to see such lack of tactics, going after the one man instead of the head of the snake. But unfortunately that one man was him. This would not do.

What really surprised him was the appearance of a wyvern rider out of the blue...sky that is. Not one to be distracted though, Vic took aim at the mercenary closing in what that big ax of his. Taking his shot Vic had aimed for his legs, hopefully slowing him enough to get off a few more shots to take him out for good.

Alexander

He watched the proceedings with interest from against the wall of a nearby building, trying to decide who to aid. Alexander had been passing through town looking for work, but unfortunately for him this area seemed to be in a dry spell as far as violence, at least until about five minutes ago.

At first Alexander was tempted to do nothing. The fight was chaotic and confusing, major red flags for any mercenary who didn't want to leap in over his head. Neither side really looked that appealing, the city thugs being, well, thugs and the strange mix fighting them being, well, strange. One of them was intriguing though, a young looking swordsman, very handy with a blade it seemed. He was holding his own with an axman at the moment, but by his fighting style and how he carried himself Alexander could tell he was a noble.

A noble? With no guard beyond a magician and what seemed to be a street vendor? Alexander's eyes bulged.

Personal bodyguard.

Every mercenaries dream. Simple work, great pay, and he could do it without a company, a bonus for Alexander. He had to act fast. With a self-indulgent flourish, he pulled his curved bronze sword out of the sheath on his back, and sprinted from the side of the road toward the fighter attacking the young noble. The Myrmidon moved like lightning, as he had been taught, and sliced his sword at the side of the fighter. He had to make a good first impression.

Esria
Esria frowned, as even more men jumped into the fight, including...what looked liek a dragon? No, it couldn't be...it was smaller, and being ridden by one of those humans! How odd indeed. She would ask about this later. However, she began investigating several barrels, searching for water. If she was attacked, she would need it to defend herself from those thugs.

Leon

Leon didn't have time to acknowledge the Lord as he was already moving to assist the archer. He was worried at first for the archers well being but then a Wyvern dropped from the sky and seemed to assist them.
...
What?
Leon shook his head, today had gone from boring, to amazing, to down right crazy in less than an hour. What next, a dragon? He shook his head at the notion and quickly fired off a fireball at the Axe wielder that was in melee with the archer. He then went to hold the book in his off hand as he went to cross blades with the other axemen, a fighter by the looks of him.

Archron

The boy had to admit that he was out muscled as the fighter nearly pushed him to his knees as he blocked the crushing axe blow with a crossed blade. The brute continued to push with the axe, and the axe head got closer and closer to Archron's face... and he suddenly released his weapon. The fighter arched his back and his face was covered with agony, shortly before falling to the ground with his dying breath. Beside him stood what looked to be a myrmidon with a bloodied blade. Sighing with relief, the price gave a crooked smile and nodded to the man. "My thanks." his expression somber once more, he turned to look about him. There seemed to be many who wished to join him in battle against these brigands, a fact he would be sure to thank Naga for. The young prince raised his blade once more and charged forward, ready to aid his allies where they might need him.

~~~~~~~~~~
The barbarian with the arrow in his shoulder was lacking in luck that day. He had almost reached the archer, ready to enact revenge, when a fireball erupted at his feet and engulfed him, killing the already weakened man, his rage doing nothing to protect his life.
As the warrior charged at the archer, an arrow glanced off of the armor on his legs. He was also surprised at his friend going up in flames, and almost didn't notice the young man with the sword charge at him. But notice he did, and swung his axe full force at the man's torso.
The archer frowned at the sight of his allies being so easily repelled by some random soldiers. Raising his bow, his last thoughts were of his pathetic "friends" as an axe blade crashed through his skull.
The barbarian desperately tried to pry his axe from the man's grasp, but he fell to the many blows landed by the horseman's sword.
The last archer's eyes bulged as as he realized that he was one of only two survivors of the two attacking groups. He desperately looked around him to find a good target, and a cruel grin crossed his face as he did. Raising his bow, he took aim at the Wyvern Rider who had flown into his range, and fired.
The two knights moved closer to the three men guarding the leader, forming a closely packed guard, should the men attack.
frustrated with new participants taking the openings before he has a chance to act, Lucas gave up his hide and attack plan since it wasn't working so well for him. Tycho
One fell swoop, and the man didn't even know what had happened to him. It was rare for them to receive such opportunities, but they were always satisfying when they were pulled off like this. He took a moment to survey the market and see just how many of the bandits were left and if any of those fighting them needed help. By the look of things, they were just about done with them, only a few bandits remaining, though there did appear to be a woman who didn't seem to belong, looking as if she was but a simple traveler.
He was about to urge Drasil forward to form up with those fighting the bandits when he caught movement out of the corner of his eye, movement that was never good for him or the wyvern: an archer taking aim at them. He gave the reigns a sharp tug, but it was either too late or Drasil was just too slow, regardless, Tycho could hear Drasil cry out in pain, the arrow sticking out of his side, deep enough to do some pretty bad damage. As if they were one being, they turned to face the offending archer, Drasil barreling towards him while Tycho raised his axe once again, needing to take this man out quickly if he was going to have any hope of saving them both.
Alexander
Alexander returned the lord's smile and tipped his hat. These thugs weren't very well trained, and they obviously had not anticipated this level of resistance. Alexander would maybe cut down one more man, then make a solid pitch to the young noble. Open and shut.
He emerged from this thought and noticed the man was already a good ten yards away, sprinting towards another one of the fighters.
"You have got to be..."
Alexander sent off sprinting after the lord, and began wondering if perhaps this job would be a lot more difficult than he'd predicted.
Leon
Things were happening so fast that anyone else wouldn't be able to grasp it, but his mind did. His mind had been honed for this very moment, for battle. He twisted and blocked the axe aimed for him, his strength could not match up to that of the axe man but it didn't have to. At that moment a mage had come up from behind and used that moment to attack. Leon used that same moment to let go of the stalemate he had held, letting the axe slip past him as he went in for his own strike. His eyes never stopped moving though, he looked at everything that was happening, he could see it all. As he striked he called out a new order.
"Archer! Assist that Wyvern rider! Take out their archer!"
She gasped abit when she say the dragon like thing get shot with an arrow, and knew that it was in trouble. She rushed out of hiding and towards the archer. She grasped her dragonstone, ad was enveloped in a flash of blue light. A moment later, in her place stood a large blue dragon, which roared in anger at the archer., She took an angry swat at him with her paw, having placed herself between the archer and the Wyvern rider.
Of course he would have thanked him for taking care of the mercenary but the order through him off a bit. He was not used to be given orders, not that it mattered to him but it just brought back old memories. He was about to take the shot at the other archer, aiming at the Wyvern rider which had came from no where, when a bloody dragon appeared in front of them both.....
A dragon....
Here. Of all places. Vic almost fell backwards from surprise, only just regaining his balance. He looked at it for a few seconds before looking back to the tactician, "Any other good ideas? I am not shooting at a dragon
He might be bleeding more than he thought if he was seeing a Wyvern rider and an actual dragon... at least they were taking care of the archers. he took the chance to apply a bit of vulnary to some bandages and wrapping it over his wound. Task done he readied his lance and prepared to follow up on any openings.
Archron
The boy rushed at the archer shortly after he fired off an arrow at the Wyvern rider. As he approached his enemy, a bright flash of light near him surprised the youth enough to stop him in his tracks. As Archron lowered his arm from guarding his eyes, he stood shocked for a moment at the sight of a shimmering water dragon before him. He had heard tales from Nowi about the other types of Manaketes, but her descriptions of the water dragon's beauty and grace did not do them justice. And to think, one stood right before him...
These thoughts passed through his mind in a flash as the dragon swatted away the archer, knocking him several feet and cutting him badly. Archron took the opportunity and leaped forward, driving his blade into the man's chest where he lay, killing him quickly. After drawing the blade from the man's chest, he looked around him. The last of the attacking soldiers had fallen. Raising his sword point-first in the air, he cried aloud, "To me! Rally to me!"
~~~~~~~~~~

The unfortunate archer had been unable to avoid the mighty blow from the dragon, and would have bled out if the prince had not ended his life in a quicker manner.

The fighter who had engaged the robed man was not skilled enough to keep his blade from sliding into the ground as the young man twisted to the side. As the Tactician's sword swing mat his stomach, a blade of air caught him from behind, cutting him somewhat, but the majority of the damage was done by the force of the wind pushing him further into the blade. The cut was deep, and he coughed a few times before bleeding out, his body falling with the blade still embedded deeply into his gut.

The six men who held back remained in their positions, preparing for the battle to come.

Tycho

While the aid he received was not completely unexpected, there were more than enough of them that someone would have gone after the archer as well, the fact that a water dragon had come to his aid was something he did not expect, much less believe he would see in the first place. Yes he had heard the tales of dragons, of the manaketes, he knew how the grimleal had tried to capture one of them during the last war and ended giving the soon to be exalt Chrom another ally against Gangrel, but this dragon was nothing like the Manaketes he had heard of.

Impressive as it was though, the dragon appeared to be only slightly larger than Drasil, and strong enough to nearly kill a man with one swipe, what in the world was it doing here, and why had it chosen to help him? The only possibility that came to him was Drasil's wound before he heard someone crying out for everyone to rally to them. It was better than nothing honestly, so he directed Drasil to fly towards the man. When he deemed them closes enough, he reached down to where the arrow was and took hold of it.

While it wasn't as deep as it might have been, a quick tug didn't immediately free it, earning a threatening snarl from his wyvern. "Oh don't be such a hatchling, you've gotten hit before," another tug freed it from where it was embedded, though his wyvern was by no means happy. "Although we normally have someone on standby for this kind of thing" he muttered as he began bandaging the wound and applying some of the vulnerary he had on him. Once he was finished, he finally got a chance to take a look at the man who set himself as they commander.

No, not a man, not yet, at least, a boy on the verge of becoming one. He did not know if he was untested and was just some brat who thought he was the one who should be in charge, or if he did indeed know what he was doing. Time would tell, so he simply turned to face the enemy, ready for the order to be given.

Vic

Vic did not wait for an answer from the tactician, he leaped out of the merchant's stall and made his way towards the lord. Not wanting to be the center of attention anymore, he smartly opted for shooting from behind friendly lines. Of course he was not sure how he was going to get a shot off in between the wyvern or the hulking mass of lizard flesh that had appeared. Today surely was a day of destiny for Vic. He had finally seemed to find some sort of destiny.

Leon gave his blade a flick to get some of the blood off of it, he turned and looked at what was going on around him. He was shocked enough to slap himself in the head, he had asked for a dragon... it seemed he had gotten it.
...
"What next a horde of pretty girls?" He waited for a moment.
"damn..." with a shrug he moved to rejoin the lord.
"It seems things have... Spiraled into a strange world wouldn't you say Archon? Though we now have a massive advantage over the remaning bandit forces.

Alexander

Alexander was keeping up with the Lord until a dragon suddenly appeared, seemingly from no where. Alexander brought his sword up and bounced back on his heels, his mind rapidly trying to think of the best way to attack such a beast. He took him a moment to realize the creature was attacking the thugs, rather than the noble or any of his allies. It's size and power was intimidating, but it didn't seem currently hostile. Deciding to leave the creature alone, at least for now, Alexander tried to relocate the Lord he was supposed to be making a good impression on.

The young man had handled himself well, slaying one of the fighters. The noble held up his blade and yelled a rallying cry, which Alexander was quick to respond to. Couldn't seem like he wouldn't be willing to listen. Alexander sprinted next to the lord, and gave his blade a few swipes in anticipation.

Archron

The boy was surprised at the number of people who had actually responded to his rally. Why were so many warriors so ready to answer his call? Could it be a gift from Naga? Indeed, only the dragon backed away, and he could hardly blame it. He was but a youth with a sword, why they trusted him enough to unite around him was anyone's guess. As he pondered these things, his first ally approached him.

"Actually, this kind of reminds me of the stories my father used to tell me about his adventures. As for having the advantage, Athreon used to tell me this in strategy class: 'There are two important things to always remember on the battlefield. Never underestimate your allies, and never underestimate your enemies, whether the odds be tipped in your favor or against it.' I would advise caution for now." Archron turned around to face the other soldiers and began giving orders. "We have two magic wielders, that's one for each knight. Once they are dead, the rest of you should-" The youth was cut off by a shout from behind him.

"A challenge, boy!" Archron turned wearily at the call. "I beg your pardon?" He knew all too well what was about to happen. He had often been challenged to friendly duels from other trainees and various noble youths, and he knew that refusing would be a blow to his honor, at least in a situation like this. Breaking away from the other enemies was a single blade-wielding mercenary. As he approached, he roared out, "I challenge you, boy, to a duel!" Archron raised his blade a sighed, "So be it," before charging.

The two blades met with a resounding crash. Archron drew back his blade for a slash, but was blocked by the swordsman. The Mercenary stabbed, but the prince parried the strike. The battle continued much like this, each meeting the other's blows with a defense, neither of them gaining an edge. After a about a minute of fighting, the two duelists' blades met, and each held it there. "I don't believe... I got your name... villain," grunted a sweating Archron. "Name?" laughed the mercenary, not willing to show that he was equally weary, "I am known as Keron. Memorize it, it will be the last name you hear. And don't bother offering your own, I already know it, princeling." He grunted before puled back for another attack. As they fought on, Archron found himself in the position of having his back to the other enemies. As he realized this, an hand axe flew by his shoulder, barely missing him. He quickly dodged underneath his opponent's blade and paced the mercenary between him and the other enemies. "Fool!" Keron cried as he saw his ally attack the youth. He could have defeated the prince and practically won the battle if they hadn't been interfered with, but now...

Archron turned and motioned to the soldiers, crying out, "Attack!" before continuing his duel.

Tycho

The other fighters gathered around them, the two men who seemed to be in charge of this group apparently believing that this was one of those battles from the past where the young lord began gathering his comrades in preparation for some grand war they would find themselves in. Normally Tycho would have written this off as them reading too much into it, at least until one of them mentioned the name Athreon as if he knew him personally. But that couldn't be possible, Athreon was the tactician to Exalt Chrom, this man couldn't possibly know him as if he were a teacher, that could only mean that that this young man was of royal blood.

Figures that I'm fighting alongside the son of the man who shattered my homeland a second time and slew the man I put all my hope of a future without gods in. But we'll sort this out later Until then, there were bandits to kill, and he was perfectly content to let the mages deal with the knights, besides, by the look of the duel that had just begun between the possible lordling and the mercenary leader, his subordinates had no respect for duels. Expected of bandits, and a perfect target for him to vent more Drasil's rage. He urged the wyvern forward, gnashing its teeth as it flew towards the man. "Lets get this over with and maybe I'll give you a bit more food than usual!" an incentive always made him even more ferocious.

Esria
She stomped towards the nearest thug that had a hand axe, and attempted to crush him by swatting at him with her tail, sweeping it low to the ground and at high speed, aiming for a wall nearby. She had no fear of these brigands, at least not in this state, and knew those axes would probably do little damage, if only scratches. Except those scratches would hurt when she transformed back to her human self.Still, she would rather not give them the opportunity.
