The wyvern let out the closest thing a giant winged reptile could give to a purr as she stroked his snout. It was strange, even during their days among the valmese it was Tycho that did the trusting while Drasil had to be wary for both of them, and it was rare that the both of them could trust someone, yet this woman, who they barely knew for a day, who was something even Drasil was finding hard to accept as a living legend, was someone both could seemingly feel at ease around. "He thinks it easier than having to explain to people why adult Wyvern free to roam. They scared I will do something to harm them. He don't like it either, he know I don't like this, but he know why people scared of me. It only for when we stay in villages though, in wild, he give me freedom, in castles, pen big enough for me. Tycho sacrifice for me, I sacrifice for Tycho."

Esria
She chuckled at that."He does seem like a good owner. And I'm sure he does his best to take care of you." She said, the sentence somewhat broken. She definitely needed to work on her olden languages. Still, she was enjoying the conversation. One did not get to talk to a Wyvern at all...even manaketes. Such was a hard thing to learn, and took many years. She kept rubbing his snout, smiling. "You remind me of a grumpy old Dragon. He hated being cooped up all the time. yet for some time, he had to be because of hunters." She said, laughing abit."Still...I'll bet you'll be glad when we get going ,right?" She asked, sentence still broken.

Drasil couldn't help but chuckle at her attempt to speak with him in the old language, though did not mean anything bad by it, he was little better. "Most riders treat wyverns like horse, just with scales and wings. Tycho different, he treat me like comrade, like partner. Rider like him rare to find." For all the apparent dislike the two seemed to have, Tycho with verbal jabs and Drasil with his apparent rebellious attitude, it was just their way of showing affection for the other. Tycho's words were mere jests and Drasil just liked to remind his rider of who still had to bear the brunt of the attacks directed at them. "Never liked being unable to fly. Don't like cramped spaces even more, so I always happy to fly when we leave villages, me think Tycho is too. First flight when he finally mastered it one of best times in life."

Alexander

He chuckled at the question about women. "In my experience that assessment isn't too far off." Alexander had met some good ladies in his day, still nothing Archron had said was wrong.

Alexander nodded as Archron spoke about seeing and helping the world. More or less what he'd expected. Admirable in theory, but very much the desires of a young man with a lot of time on his hands.

When Archron asked why he was here, Alexander shrugged. Archron knew what he was about from yesterdays incident, a pretense here would be fairly pointless.

"I've hit a dry spell. Had a...falling out with the company I was with." He didn't mention the company before that, or the one before that. "Running low on coin basically. Even if you're not giving me regular pay, if the people we help pay us and the people we kill have coin I'll scrape by for now. Beats begging. And as for your age..." He leaned back in his chair and shrugged again. "I've worked for men not much older than you. Rich men of course, but young ones. Guarded a boy probably a year or two younger than you once, though his father hired me. Boy liked his slumming, father thought he could use some protection. Ending up being a complete brat. Shocker there, eh?" He'd told the boy the brat thing to his face, meaning that assignment lasted all of a week, but that seemed like another detail worth leaving out.

--Sebastian Trae--
"Okay.." Sebastian stood up. "Alright, I'm going to go outside, give Feriter a walk before we go somewhere. What about you?" As he spoke, the student stooped to collect his saddlebag. Maybe he'd do with the fresh air too; as nice as the alcohol was here, village inns tended to be of the cleanliness of... Well, village inns.

Archron

Archron smiled at that.

"I trust it was no one I know? Well, knowing some of the wealthy families sons, I wouldn't be surprised."

Noting that the healer was rising to leave, Archron decided to take the opportunity to make an announcement while the whole group was gathered. Rising from his seat, he spoke loud enough for everyone in the room to hear, but anyone outside of the inn wouldn't be able to make it out.

"Oh, by the way everyone, we have our first task as a group. The lady Esria has requested escort to her current home. Whether she will stay or not, I don't know, but I have agreed to provide protection, considering what happened yesterday. Any comments?"

Esria
She smiled at that, and resumed petting him."Kind if like when i first learned to transform. it was a wonderful feeling...everything was different...I didn't have to run and hide from Anyone anymore...I was able to stand up for myself. it was a wonderful feeling." She said, and finally sat back from him, letting him eat.

"First flight always is. But first flight with Tycho wasn't first, just first in long time. Training not count, he learn what it mean to be rider, how to fight like rider, but we barely off ground. When that done, then he learn how to fly." He still found it hard to accept that someone besides his rider actually managed to find one of his preferred spots to have pet. One of the more obvious ones, but one of his spots nonetheless. He felt content then as he went back to eating, knowing Tycho would be back soon.

Tycho

He was just about finished with his meal when Achron announced their first task. So they would be escorting Esria home. Probably wouldn't get much of a reward outside of anything off any bandits they ran into, but that was reward enough. This also meant they would be leaving soon, so he would have to get Drasil ready.

Finishing his meal, he paid for it and then proceeded to head for the stables. When he got there, he found Esria with Drasil, apparently speaking to him, and apparently, he to her. He decided to just hang back and see what happened, few besides other riders really knew how to approach and work with wyverns, yet Esria was near Drasil as if he had Tycho next to him.

Esria
She smiled, and stood when Tycho arrived."Ah, hello. We were just chatting i suppose. I assume we are ready to leave?" She asked, dusting her robes off. She had enjoyed talking to the Wyvern, and hoped to do so again in the near future.

Tycho

He started walking towards them once Esria noticed that he was there. "Well Achron just announced our first task, apparently we are going to be escorting you back home. Normally whenever that kind of announcement gets made I take it as a sign we're moving out soon, which means it's time to get Drasil ready." He walked over to his wyvern, who was just finishing the feed he had been given, and began leading him out of the stable, a familiar, satisfied growl coming from him as he was freed from the uncomfortable space.

Alexander

"I'm assuming we're not getting paid." He grumbled as he stood up and gathered his meager belongings. It only took a few moments, then Alexander was outside and waiting on the rest of the party. He glanced up at the sky. Clear, pretty day. Hopefully a good omen.

Archron

"Whether we get paid or not, I think we can finish what we started. The two hundred gold coins we each received should be more than enough for now."

Having responded to Alexander, Archron quickly finished his breakfast and moved to join the others outside, after thanking the innkeeper for his kindness. A few minutes later, he stood at the head of his small band. Looking over them all, he smiled.

"Everyone ready?"

--Sebastian Trae--
Sebastian checked what resources he had. Feriter was looking somehow pleased with herself, as if planning to find a stream to throw him into. Nobody had stolen from him, as evidenced by the facts his familial-sourced wards hadn't taken out the building (or simply not worked, either was likely). His money, tent and emergency distillate supplies were all ready.

After Archon's challenge, he decided to voice his confirmation. Never hurts to show willingness.
"I'm happy, sir!"

She nodded to those outside. "The protection is much appreciated." She said, bowing her head to them, and waited for the rest of the party to arrive.

Tycho

He stopped Drasil just outside the stable and began placing his armor back on. Tough as his scales were, both of them had been thankful for it on many occasions, and some days Tycho wished there was more, but they'd have to make do with what they had until that day came. He threw his saddle bags on once he was finished with the armor and jumped onto Drasil's back, the wyvern stretching his wings in preparation for their eventual flight.

"Ready to move on your orders sir!"

Lucas

He ran out of the Inn and joined the others. Catching his breath, the young mage bowed before the lord. "Sorry for the delay sir. Ready to leave on your orders."

Archron

The prince nodded to his men.

"Very good. Let's move out!"

As he turned away from them, he couldn't help but smile. His own force. Of course, the would need a name. But what? He would have to think about that....

After about ten minutes of traveling, Archron's eyes widened as he realized someone was missing.

"Has anyone seen Leon this morning?"

~~~~~~~~~~
The Exalt stood with his wife in front of his throne, listening to the general of the Ylissian military's explanation. Once he had finished, Chrom nodded somberly.
"You did well, Sir Fredrick, as always. My son would have had no chance against that man, even with assistance from his new friends. I trust you are keeping an eye on my son, as we discussed?"
"Of course, my lord. However, there is something else we must discuss, and that is the matter of the warlord who has taken control of Plegia. He has sent you a message...."
Tycho & Leon
He had only just realized their tactician was gone as well. Well, this is a great start. He stopped Drasil and turned him around in the direction of the village they came from. "Don't worry milord, we'll get him." Though he had a feeling Sebastian could have gotten him just as quickly, Tycho and Drasil could easily avoid the hassle of dealing with the trees and anything else in their way. "Drasil up!" The wyvern was in the air the instant he heard the command.
Back in the village, Leon was not having the greatest morning. He had slept in, thus missing the group leaving, and the owner of the tavern wasn't exactly the most helpful person in figuring out where they had gone. Not exactly the best first impression to make on the first day of the job now is this? He was about to try a path that one of the villagers said they had gone down when he could hear the sound of flapping wings above him.
Drasil lowered himself to being just slightly off the ground before he stopped, Tycho extending a hand to the tactician with an amused smile on his face. "You have no idea how lucky you are," he chuckled as Leon took his hand and pulled himself up behind the wyvern rider. "I slept in on my first actual day on the job, lucky doesn't even begin to describe this situation." "Maybe, but I'm sure you'll get your chance to redeem yourself," Drasil rose above the treeline, facing the direction he had just come from.
"One question before we go: ever flown on a wyvern?" "No, I can't say I have." "Well then you're in for a treat, they don't fly like pegasi!" He tapped Drasil's sides with his feet, and the wyvern was off, the tactician holding on for dear life to the wyvern rider as they flew back to their comrades.
Esria
She couldn't help but chuckle at the misisng person...and soon saw Drasil fly off ,and return with him. "hmm...not very punctual, is he?" She asked Archron, amusement in her voice. "He ought to be abit more punctual. Should we have been engaged in battle...it could be bad."
Archron
The young prince smiled as he watched the two men fly in on the Wyvern. He continued watching them as he responded to Esria's statement.
"Perhaps. Still, I can give him some grace, considering the circumstances. Most of us are quite new to this, you know." After starting this cheerfully, he called out to the two men as they landed.
"You have my thanks, Tycho. As for you, Leon, I'm afraid joining my merry band here may cost you a little sleep in the morning from now on. Believe me, I'm no happier about it than you are." He joked with a laugh.
Alexander
Alexander began the day in relative solitude, walking near the back of the group. He'd have to split the bottle of wine he'd bought with Sebastian's money with the healer at some point, but he planned to save that for later in the day. Beyond that he wasn't really sure what to think of the rest of his companions. They were an odd mix that was for sure.
The only person besides Sebastian he'd had any real interaction with was Archron himself, and while he seemed like a nice enough kid (Alexander couldn't help thinking of him as a kid, though he knew he couldn't be more than 2-3 years older than the lord at the most) he wasn't exactly a kindred spirit. He supposed he had talked to the tactician, but Alexander had little interest in talking to the man who had been so quick to insert himself in business that wasn't his. Speaking of which...where was Leon? He questioned was answered a minute later when the wyvern rider landed ahead of them, with the tactician hanging on the back. Archron seemed pretty relaxed about the man's lateness. To Alexander it seemed pretty unprofessional, but he supposed a decent chunk of this party weren't professionals. Something worth thinking on.
Speeding up his pace a bit, Alexander approached the Wyvern Rider. Judging by his mount there was a good chance he was from Plegia, in all likelihood the only other member of the party from the shattered nation. "Where you from?" Alexander asked, playing up his accent a bit to making it clear that if the man hailed from Plegia he was speaking to a countryman.
Lucas
He walked quietly as they headed to their next location. He went over in his head which comrades he has gotten to know. He talked with Tycho when they arrived at the inn and Sebastian earlier today. Which left only Sir Alexander, Lady Esria, the young lord, and Leon. To be honest he interacted with the others very little. Wanting to put an end to his unintentional aloof behavior, he approached the tactician and attempted to strike up a conversation.
"Did you enjoy riding on a wyvern?" He asked purely out of curiosity, he had wondered what it was like to ride one.
Tycho
Tycho couldn't help but laugh at the tactician as he finally let go of him as they neared the ground, imagining the silent thanks he was giving the gods for letting him live after such an expirience. Drasil had been flying fast to catch up with their little group, and when Tycho needed speed, Drasil gave it and then some. Wyverns were bulkier than pegasi and gryphons, but when a wyvern was able to fully let loose and throw everything it had into flying, even a pegasus would find it's maneuverability the only advantage it had left.
As Drasil settled into a hover just above the ground, they were approached by the mercenary myrmidon. If his memory was right, his name was Alexander, and judging by his accent, Tycho wasn't the only Plegian in this little group now. He couldn't help but feel a bit more relaxed than usual around one of his own countryman, probably because he was the first person outside of his comrades that had talked to in some time. "Plegia, and here I thought I was the only one."
Leon
The tactician rushed to rejoin their leader, finishing his thanks to Naga and praying that he wouldn't have to do that again anytime soon. "Don't worry, I'll get used to it, and I'll do my best to prevent it from happening again." He had a feeling he was going to get less sleep than anyone in this little group of theirs.
He was then approached by the mage Lucas, who was apparently curious about what his flight was like. "I wouldn't reccomend anyone have their first flight with a wyvern going as fast it can."
Alexander
Alexander smiled and nodded with his suspicion confirmed. "Me too. Wasn't really looking forward to it either. Wars still a bit fresh to some people in Ylisse, unfortunately." Alexander had learned to hide his accent, but his country of origin had still gotten him in a few scraps since he'd relocated to Ylisse. Often in taverns and when he wasn't with a company, when a mix of alcohal and hbeing alone made him an easy target. A bit stupid Alexander thought, considering he hadn't been much more than an infant when the war ended and that he couldn't care less about politics, but a reality nonetheless.
"So what brings you so far from home? You don't strike me as a blade for hire."
Tycho
Of course it was the war, it always led back to the war. He tried not to spend too much time in places where too many people still wanted to hurt any plegian for being who they were. The sad thing was that he understood the sentiment, it was the same desire plegia had once the 'holy' ware was over and they were left to pick up the pieces of their shattered kingdom. He reminded many of those people, very harshly, that it was their exalt who made Plegia what they had been. Some of his first memories were of the destruction caused, the pain and misery left in the wake of the Ylissean army. That had gotten most to back off, but the more thick headed fools needed to be dealt with physically.
"Exile I suppose you could call it," he answered after trying to find the right word to describe the situation of him and his comrades. "The warlord isn't exactly that popular with those of us who would prefer not to have another war on our hands. We left Plegia because we wanted no part of it, and we've been waiting for him to make his next move ever since."
