Role-playing Game Features (Let me know what you think!)

While browsing through the advanced options in my administration panel, I was pleasantly surprised to see a number of interesting features offered. Among them are what is labeled as "Roleplay Game" options. After browsing through the forumotion forums and looking at more information, I discovered it essentially allows the option for the use of displayable character sheets as well as a built-in dice roller that can be used in posts. Even the dice themselves are customizable, down to the side. (Images can even be used instead of numbers.)

I'm considering enabling this options soon once I conclude reading how to set them up properly. It would not only allow for the story-based playing style that many of us are used to, but also allow the option for users to run threads introducing statistical aspects if they wish.

Many thanks. I'm glad you're alright with it! We can also discuss the site's look in another thread as the others start arriving, if needed. (I've always found a dark style is good for relaxing and long reads, but that's only me. It will ultimately be up to all of you!)

Dark is a good thing to have, the only draw back is the contrast with lighter colors like the text box at the bottom or light colored avatars. The contrast is nearly blinding at times :POn the other hand it's still a good idea.

Maybe we could try out some other colors at some point, like grays or browns. Though Like you said we should wait for the others to stop being so lazy and get their butts into this awesome place!


Edit: Oooh or like a dark blue! that would be nice too.

Well, I'm here! Some of the features here seem pretty cool.

AS far as the color goes, I would personally prefer a lighter color, one not too bright but not too dark either, as the dark colors causes the textbox to be quite... bright.

Also, as me and Gaia will be running the RPs, will we be made Mods?

That is an interesting question, by that logic is anyone who starts up an RP (I have a feeling we will be getting good use out of this place) Become a mod? Should the core of us who starts here all be mods? She we just let Dragus run the show until time dictates that we add mods? Really I dunno, but heck that's why we are here in the suggestions and questions area what do you think Dragus? I'm sure few people would mind being mods.

Running an RP thread and managing a thread requires no moderation powers, fortunately. We also have the benefit of a small and simple site, so the risk of spam attacks or large-scale malicious posting is basically non-existent. This combined with my forgiving schedule and high activity means we're quite good to go from a practical viewpoint.

But if some of us simply want the status to feel cool, it's understandable. Although rapid growth of our group of friends is unlikely and we could end up with more moderators than users for a time if we simply modded all of the founding members, I would still be fine with it.

It's no big deal either way, and I'm only here to set things up how all of you want. Keeping our little RP hangout running should thankfully be a simple matter regardless of what everyone decides.
